Mission statement

Beacon is a social enterprise, whose team members have over 20 years’ experience in Continuing Healthcare support. We are the chosen supplier for the NHS England Free Information and Advice service, and deliver casework services across England.

Our mission is to provide high quality and independent advice, information and casework for vulnerable people and those who represent them, empowering and supporting them through the complexities of Continuing Healthcare to achieve a fair outcome.

Drawing on our extensive experience and expertise, we campaign on, influence and impact public policy, while raising awareness of and improving access to Continuing Healthcare nationally.

Beacon is not a charity, but we are a non-profit organisation which donates any profits to supporting charitable objectives that are in line with our aims.

Ethical

We operate with honesty and integrity. We are transparent about our funding and our fees, which we keep as low as we sensibly can. We never ‘hard sell’ our services, we keep you informed at every step, and we always give our honest opinion of your chances of success. As a social enterprise, we donate any profits to charity to improve services for older people.

Expert

We pride ourselves on being recognised as leading independent experts in CHC. We apply our knowledge and experience to help every case and caller. We also strive to improve CHC for everyone, by training health and social care professionals.

Personal

By listening carefully to you and the people who really know about your care needs, we provide excellent advice and powerful advocacy tailored to your unique situation.

Compassionate

Our callers and clients can be under immense stress, at what is often a really tough time. We do our best to lift some of that burden by providing a quality service that you can trust, and by being compassionate and courteous at all times.
