We are delighted to announce that Beacon is now working in partnership with FirstStop Advice. FirstStop Advice is an independent, impartial and free service provided by the national charity Elderly Accommodation Counsel (EAC) in partnership with local and national partner organisations.

The service is for older people, their families and carers. It aims to help people get the help or care they need to live as independently and comfortably as possible. Whether that is remaining living where they are now, or moving to somewhere that suits them better, FirstStop are able to discuss all their options.

FirstStop has chosen to endorse Beacon for continuing healthcare support with assessments and appeals across the UK, having been convinced of the quality of our information, advice and casework. They will also be recommending that people access our Navigational Toolkit as a way of empowering people with the information they need to navigate the assessment process or appeal an eligibility decision. We look forward to working with FirstStop in the coming months and years.
